Another Birthday

I'm finally catching up on my end of the year blogging.  Here's a birthday dress from November.

This was a very easy dress.  I followed the pattern with the exception of added belt loops. I used McCall Pattern # 6882.  I did lengthen the dress a bit--it is quite short!  Anna looked adorable and very grown up in this dress.

Happy Birthday Darla!

I love this cute little pattern and made it with absolutely no changes!  That does not happen very often!  This was McCall Pattern # 6689.  Easy and adorable!

I used a light-weight denim lined with a cotton print.

Happy Birthday Norah!

A little late, but here's Norah's birthday dress:

I really love this fabric.  I used the same pattern I used for this dress.  Obviously, I really like this pattern!

Last Two Elsa and Anna Costurmes

Here are the last Anna and Elsa costumes.  I used the same pattern for both and different fabric for Elsa.

The Anna costume already needed a little spot removal but a little help from Woolite and it's  as good as new!

Anna Costume

Here's the first Anna costume.

I used the same pattern that I used for the Elsa pattern.  I simplified the cape by making it out of felt and adding fancy stitching instead of trim.  The flowers are also felt applied with heat and bond.

Frozen

One Elsa down, one more and two Anna's to go!

Lucky for me, there are at least a couple of patterns available so this was pretty  straightforward.
I used McCall's pattern 7000.  I added snowflakes to the overlay with sparkly fabric paint and some rubber stamps.

Bedroom Refresh

Our bedroom was in desperate need of a little update so I recovered our headboard and made a slipcover for a little slipper chair.  I call this fun sewing!!  At least it's a change!

I'm Back!

I have had a wonderful summer working on projects around the house. Now it is time to get back to work!  Homecoming dances will be starting soon so I'm trying to get birthday and Halloween sewing in before the craziness starts.  Here a couple of simple skirts I whipped up for two cute little birthday girls.

Portable Dollhouse

I thought it might be fun to make the granddaughters something other than a dress for Christmas this year.  Here's what I came up with:

I had so much fun designing and making these little dollhouses.  I hope the girls love playing with them!

I hope to have a pattern available next summer.
