I love Lucy.. and think she looks adorable in her new dress.

Here's the last of the Christmas dresses.

This dress was made with my favorite little girl's pattern --Simplicity  #2907.    I've already made this dress once before (check it out here), and will probably make it again someday!  Very easy to make and it looks so cute on little girls.  Here's the evidence:

Macy's Dress

Here's Macy's Christmas dress.  Simple, but girly and cute!  It is  McCall pattern #5791.  The only change I made was adding a ribbon--how easy is that!

Don't You Just Love Argyle?!

I had seen this pink and green argyle corduroy in the store for months and finally decided it would be a perfect jumper for Anna.  Here it is--can't wait to see it on her!

I used  Butterick # 4842 and changed the skirt to gathers instead of pleats.

Christmas Dresses

I designed some cute outfits for my granddaughters this Christmas and then couldn't find the fabric I really wanted.   Sometimes I think it's better to start with the fabric!  Plan B was to find patterns I liked and then make a matching doll to make it a little more special.  Here is Ellie's dress and doll.

The dress is McCall's pattern # 6152.  I made it exactly like the pattern and then added thread loops and a grograin ribbon.  Super easy!

Yoga Mat Bags

I have three gorgeous daughters-in-law who like yoga.  Hats off to my sons for choosing such great girls!!  Anyway, I thought I would make them each a bag for carrying their yoga mat.  Here's the result:

Almost makes me wish I did yoga!  I used this pattern, but really thought that it need a closure at the top. I added 2" to the top edge, made a casing and inserted cording and a cord stop.  The strap is sewn on the outside in the original position like this:
