I just finished making a Christmas dress for my new granddaughter. I made a simple corduroy jumper. It is gray with pink polka dots. I lined the top with pink and white polka dot cotton. Cute, cute, cute! I am really looking forward to a whole new world of fun sewing!

It's a girl. Our newest grandchild was born on Friday! Great for me because the blue quilt isn't finished yet!

Sadly, no quilting is taking place in my sewing room right now. I am buried in homecoming, wedding, choir and Fashionetta dresses! I am spending a great deal of energy replacing zippers. Why can't companies put a decent invisible zipper in a gown?

Baby Quilt

Here's my first attempt at machine quilting. I used an all over meandering pattern. Just in case I ever have a granddaughter!

Stake Enrichment Meeting

It's time for Stake Enrichment Meeting again. Wow! this year went fast. I think it is very important to have meetings that are worthwhile so we are doing a service project again. We are making very simple fleece hoods to go under hats and coats. A couple of local charities keep them on hand during the winter and apparently go through a lot of them. Our goal is 100. We'll see if we can get them done in an hour. I think it will be a great evening with dinner, service, and fellowship, followed by the General R.S. Broadcast.

I finished this quilt for my sister about a month ago. I know it's a little strange that I sew for fun when I have time off from work, but after looking at wedding dresses it's a treat.

I've been threatening to do it for a long time--I finally machine quilted my first quilt. It's not perfect, but it was very satisfying to finish so quick! This is definitely the way I will quilt baby quilts from now on! As soon as I get it bound I will post a picture.
